After majoring in media arts and photography at Kuwasawa School of Design, Yasuo Tanaka decided to enter the industrial design field. He worked at Kanto Jodisha Kogyo Co. for many years, ending up as chief designer. A career change in 1981 resulted in his becoming a freelance illustrator. Since then, his work has been published in many books and he has had numerous one-person exhibitions in Japan and the United States. He lives in Tokyo.
Award winning art director Koji Mizutani set up his own design office in Tokyo in 1983. He has worked on advertisements and posters for companies such as Hitachi, Sony, Seibe and ANA Airlines. He has been a member of the Japanese Graphic Designers Association Inc., the Tokyo Type Directors Club and the New York Art Directors Club.
